Day after Thanksgiving banjo

Here it is the day after Thanksgiving. Still honeymooning with my new banjo. :) Don't forget the Old Time Music Camp at White Springs the first weekend of December. There will be fiddle/guitar/singing there as well as banjo. Contact the Stephen Foster State Park in White Springs Florida for more information.

We camped the weekend at St Andrews State Park in Panama City. Our campsite was right on the lagoon. This is a very pretty park and the weather was perfect.

Its here and we've been picking this evening. 

the new banjo sounds warm and rich and very nice mid range tones. I really love the voice of this banjo. It is even prettier up close than in the photo. 

Its on the way! New banjo supposed to arrive any minute!

Where is the man with the pumpkin banjos?

Jezebel and I went out today and picked the pumpkins. We got a big one for the yard, a small one for the table, and while I was paying, Jezebel walked up with a tiny pumpkin in her mouth and dropped it in our pile for her pumpkin. Now what ever happened to that man that was making pumpkin banjos? Did he ever post any done pumpkin banjos?

Banjo Class stands to take a bow at the student showcase at the Sunshine State Acoustic Music Camp

Wow! They always give me musical geniuses for students at these banjo camps. This group played "Angeline" in tune, in time, together with leads and back up--they sounded like a real banjo band. They worked hard in class too--even though we were right beside the live gator pond. :) Good playing guys and dolls. :)
